AFSSA

Asian Family Support Services of Austin, or AFSSA, is a survivor-centered community of care that provides assistance to Asian and other immigrant families dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking.

Our mission is to promote abuse-free Asian communities through advocacy, support, awareness and access to social services. AFSSA envisions healthy, abuse-free Asian communities.

AFSSA integrates culture and language specific crisis response services, educational programs, community-based programs, and advocacy.

We are a survivor-centered organization supporting women, men, and children who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or trafficking. AFSSA's experience is in the Asian community, but we do not discriminate; our services are for anyone who needs assistance. We believe each individual’s experiences, level of resource access, and needs differ from one case to another. We provide tailored cultural and language specific services to anyone who enters through our doors.

Our multi-lingual and multi-cultural staff provide services in 30 different languages in Central Texas. AFSSA will provide phone support, referrals, and system advocacy to all parts of Texas and outside of the state for those who cannot access similar services within their local jurisdiction. We are known to assist people internationally as well.
